Sweet Revenge - Are You Committed?
Sweet Revenge wanted to advertise their custom cake offering, particularly for weddings and other sentimental milestones in high regard.
I was asked to create an add for their custom cake service that will be published in print flier form, primarily.

The idea for the flier was simple: instead of crowding the piece with various versions of celebratory cakes, I decided to stick to one that is a marked milestone for anyone who decides to commit to someone further in their lives – marriage.
The visual of the ring with a cake on the top is just for attention and narrowing down what the flier is about and what the company does from a far. The meat of the flier is the heading “Are You Committed?” It’s someone a loaded question, but one that holds meaning to anyone with great investment in a person. The copy that followed is short and serves to convey the idea that their custom cakes will created with the same vitality in expertise as the customers commitment to those they care for.
In a local market that is filled with ads from competitors seemingly throwing images together to communicate their offering, this simplistic approach in illustration and copy-writing helps Sweet Revenge to take a much need left turn in their category concerning branding and advertising, to better differentiate themselves through voice and design.
